When does Premium launch?
We have not set a date, and there is nothing to buy today. Just as importantly, none of the free limits below are in force yet either — households are unlimited and every feature is available to everyone. We will announce Premium here and in the changelog before anything about your household changes.
Is the free plan a trial?
No. Shopping, pantry, cooker, overview and search are free forever, for up to two people. There is no countdown and no card required.
Why is sharing with one person free?
Because a list nobody else can see is not much of a shared list. Two people is enough to make PattyShop genuinely useful. Premium is for when the rest of the household joins.
Is Premium per person?
No. One subscription covers the whole household, however many people are in it. Nobody else needs to pay to join.
What are pantry stats?
How your kitchen actually behaves over time, worked out from the stock you already track: how long each thing typically lasts, what you restock most, a six-month restock chart, the items that sit longest, and anything currently outstaying its own average. It builds up as food leaves the pantry and comes back, so it starts empty and gets more useful the longer you use PattyShop.
Do I need the app open to get expiry alerts?
No. Expiry and low-stock alerts arrive by email, so a closed app does not mean a missed reminder — on any phone, installed or not. At most one a day, nothing at all when there is nothing to report, and you set the expiry window and the send time yourself. These are live today for every household, free, and you can switch them off in Settings → Notifications → Email.
Why is the price different in each country?
Each market gets its own price rather than a live currency conversion, so the number stays familiar and stable instead of moving with the exchange rate.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. Your household keeps everything it has; the Premium features simply stop until you resubscribe.
